Description

The dissertation deals with the problems of assessment of development of recreational complexes (RC) as well as of real estate, the integral part thereof, applying SAS. The main objects of research are the analysis and assessment of assessment systems of sustainable real estate development, which is the essential component of RC. Recreational complexes have been selected since the sustainable real estate development is inseparable from their construction. The main aim of the dissertation is to create a real estate sustainability assessment model for recreational complexes.

The following key tasks are addressed in the work: creation of a real estate sustainability assessment model for recreational complexes, and, based upon it – a real estate SAS. In order to demonstrate the suitability of the model the Druskininkai Snow Arena has been selected.

The dissertation consists of an introduction, three chapters, conclusions, lists of publications used and the author’s published works on the topic of the dissertation as well as 1 annex.

The introductory chapter deals with the problem under research, the relevance of the work; it provides a description of the research object, defines the aim and tasks of work and describes the methodology of research, scientific novelty of the work, practical value of the work results and defended propositions. In the end of the introduction, there are presented the author’s published works on the topic of the dissertation and conference reports. The structure of dissertation is also presented here.

The first chapter is dedicated to the literature review. It provides the solution of the internal problems of the society related to RC, the definition of sustainable development, the reasons for sustainable real estate development as well as the principles and trends thereof. Especially close attention is paid at the SAS review emphasising their features and drawbacks. In the end of the chapter, the conclusions are presented and the tasks of dissertation are clarified.

The second chapter provides the process of creation of the recreational complexes RE sustainability assessment model. The SAS of recreational complexes RE has been created based upon the abovementioned model.

The third chapter demonstrates the suitability of the proposed SAS of recreational complexes RE for assessment of sustainability of Druskininkai Snow Arena and presents the comparison of results.

There are 7 published articles on the topic of dissertation: one in the set of articles included in the Thomson ISI list, one in the materials of conference referred to in the Thomson ISI database, three in the magazine quoted in the Index Copernicus database, two in the materials of the republic-wide conference. 6 reports have been delivered in conferences held in Lithuania and other countries.
