The textbook deals with the topical issues of survey, design and reconstruction of railway lines. Separate chapters describe the theory of interaction between rolling-stock and railway tracks, design of the parameters of horizontal and vertical alignment , methodology for the layout of railway stations and road structures, means to increase the capacity of railway line, certain questions of railway modernization.
