Description

The publication presents maritime transport and its relationship with road and railway transport, various types of ships and cargo vessels classification of sea ports, layout of sea port and elements of port. Port’s protection structure consists of moles, breakwaters, and construction. The infrastructure of a port and special structures: quay walls, bunders, locks, piers. Principles of design, construction methods, and types of pavement in the territory of port are given. Harbour operations include lifting devices and loading technology.
