The dissertation investigates the effect of active mineral and nano additives on the hydration of hydraulic binders (Portland cement and calcium aluminate cement) and on the performance of materials with these binders. Possibilities to improve the properties of cementitious composites with active mineral and nano additives are reviewed. The aim of the dissertation is to determine the effect of graphene oxide content on the microstructure and properties of cementitious composite materials with Portland cement and calcium aluminate cement.

The dissertation consists of introductions, three chapters, general conclusions, list of literature and sources, lists of dissertation topics of the authors' scientific publications, summary in English and three appendices.

The introductory chapter deals with the research problem, the relevance of the work, describes the object of the research, formulates the aim and tasks of the work, describes the research methodology, scientific novelty of the work, practical significance of the work results, defended statements. The introduction ends with a presentation of the author's publications and presentations at conferences and the structure of the dissertation.

The first chapter analyzes the literature on the hydration characteristics of Portland cement and calcium aluminate cementitious materials and the effect of active mineral and nano additives on hydration. Possibilities to modify the structure of cementitious composites with active mineral and nano additives and ways to improve their properties are reviewed. At the end of the chapter, conclusions are formulated and the tasks of the dissertation are specified.

The second chapter presents the properties of the materials used, the applied research methods selected to investigate the influence of graphene oxide content on the physical and mechanical properties of Portland cement pastes, mortars and refractory concrete with an average content of calcium aluminate cement.

The third chapter investigates the influence of graphene oxide content on the hydration of Portland cement paste, mortar and calcium aluminate cement (Al2O3 ≥ 70 %) and refractory concrete with an average content of calcium aluminate cement, the formation of the binder structure, and their performance.

The subject of the dissertation is the publication of four scientific articles: one in the journal of the Clarivate Analytics Web of Science with citation index, one in the Proceedings of the Clarivate Analytics Web of Science, and two in the publication of other international databases.
