The dissertation analyses the problem of radiocesium contamination of water bodies. The main object of research is the dynamics of radiocesium in water and bottom sediments of super warm Lithuanian lakes. The primary aim – to evaluate the dynamics of radiocesium features in super warm lakes water, sediments and water-bottom sediments system interface, correlate with experimentally obtained parameters of the standard seasonal changes of water.

There are a few main objectives: to assess radiocaesium contamination characteristics and their relationship to the structure of the lake Tapeliai, investigate the peculiarities of radiocaesium behavior in super warm lake Lydekinis, and examine the seasonal change in the vertical structure of the lakes water and sediments.

List of publications on the topic of dissertation contains 6 items: three in journals included in ISI Web of Science, three in conference proceedings, refereed Index Copernicus database. Nine papers on the topic of dissertation are read at conferences.
