The dissertation examines the factors affecting traffic participant behave formation and their influence on driver reliability and performance. The main object of the research are the factors affecting behaviour formation of the traffic participants. The objective of the thesis – to identify (in the theoretical and experimental ways) the key factors that impact a formation of the behaviour of traffic participants upon an assessment of the importance of such factors for the element of DVRE (the driver–the vehicle–the road–the environment) system (a driver) and choosing the most fit professional driver. Research Scope – profes-sional drivers selection methodology for the transport companies. The dissertation also aims to explore alcohol, fatigue on professional drivers for its reliability and ability to work.

Dissertation topic published at the five articles and has been presented at the three Lithuanian and other international conferences.
