Description

Solar storms are the big error source affecting global navigation satellite system (GNSS) satellites’ orbits. Navigation and positioning systems are affected, in one way or another, by different kinds of solar storms. Much work has been done to investigate and model the extent of the errors produced by solar activity. However, most research has concentrated on ionospheric errors because these are thought to be most significant. So we think that the influence of the solar activity to the accuracy of the global navigation satellite system is not enough investigated.

The author has published six articles related to these issues, i.e. five articles in reviewed scientific periodical publications; one article in of the proceedings of the international conference, while there was made six presentations at conferences.
